LA PLAGE RESORT

La Plage Resort is located in Taormina, a small coastal town on the east coast of the island of Sicily, Italy, in the Province of Messina, about midway between Messina and Catania. The resort is also facing Isola Bella, a small island off Taormina which is a nature reserve. Taormina enjoys an incomparable view of the sea and of Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe with an elevation of 3323 m. The combination of scenic beauty and a mild climate has made Taormina and its environs a well-known and popular tourist destination.
La Plage Resort in Taormina changed ownership and management late in 2007 under the Ragosta Hotels Collection brand. The resort hotel, after a full renovation, will open in June 2009. The five-star rated hotel and will be part of the Preferred Hotels & Resort Family as Preferred Boutique.
The resort is designed for minimal impact on the local fauna and flora, both from a design perspective and due to the attention of the materials used. An intimate reception area and personalized service welcomes guests to the calm and airy resort, where the sea breeze and scents entice you. Accommodations include private villa with outdoor area and perfumed gardens. A selection of spacious rooms is also available for family accommodation. An outdoor solarium and exclusive beach with pebbles provides for sun-tanning and outdoor activities. The hotel also offers the SPA "Expure" for relaxing and regenerating moments.
