Upon arrival at Pompeii, enjoy a 2-hour guided tour of the archaeological excavations of this ancient commercial centre, which was buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Explore the daily life of its inhabitants, suddenly interrupted during the night of August 24–25, 79 AD, when 5 meters of ash and lapilli covered the city on the Campanian coast.
You’ll have free time for lunch before continuing to Herculaneum. Upon arrival, enjoy a 2-hour guided visit of the excavations. Unlike Pompeii, which was a thriving commercial centre, Herculaneum was a charming residential coastal town.
